Jr. Bantam Broncos
On Sunday, September 18, 2011 the Kamloops Jr. Bantam Broncos played their fourth game of the season against the West Kelowna Sundevils. Eventhough the Broncos played their best game yet showing much improvement, the Sundevils managed a win with a final score of 39-6. The sole Broncos touchdown (first of the season) was a 44 yard reception by Kaden "Birdie" Cook with a short 10 yard run to the end zone. Mitch Dixon had a stellar game with many play stopping tackles including two quarterback sacks. Zach "Thumbs" Boose also managed a quarterback sack while playing on defense for the first time. A great showing by both the defensive and offensive lines had the ball changing direction often. Newcomer to football, Brayden Smith caught the ball on several passes for a total of 90 reception yards. The Broncos get to take a break this upcoming weekend but will still be working hard at practice, preparing for their next game on October 2, 2011 where they will be hosting the Vernon Marauders at 2pm at TCC.

Kamloops Community Football would like to make it easier for you to make a contribution to community football. We are now setup for parents to donate their bottles/cans to community football anytime at General Grants. Just mention to the friendly staff that you would like the money to go to The Kamloops Community Football Society (KFCS). They will make sure the money is forward to our football organization. We thank you and General Grants for continued support.

Our coaches do a great job in teaching our players not only the game of football but the meaning of sportsmanship, fair play and what it means to be part of a team. They volunteer their time to share the love of the game. If you think the coach of your child’s team is doing an outstanding job, show them your appreciation by nominating them for 2011 Coach of the Year. The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 9, 2011. Winners will be honoured at the 2012 Orange Helmet Awards. Nomination forms can be downloaded here or under the Forms section on this website.
